Note: The Conference excursion is only available to delegates (and partners) who register and pay for the conference and excursion before 1 June 2016. No late registration is available for the excursion.
Accommodation is available at the Karibu Hotel and Leisure Resort. The conference venues are also available at the same hotel. (If delegates exceed the number of hotel rooms available, others will be ferried by the hotel transport to the nearest lodge free of charge.) NB. Travelling from Tzaneen, delegates will use the R 71 road to Phalaborwa. About 10km on R71 to a 4-way stop at Tarentaalrand, delegates will take the off-ramp to the left, and again about 800metres, turn right on the road heading to the East of Tzaneen, that is the road to Giyani. Those travelling from Phalaborwa Airport will also take the R71 road to Tzaneen. At Tarentaalrand 4-way stop, delegates will take the off-ramp to the right and within 800m turn right on the Giyani road. About 3 minutes drive, the Karibu Hotel entrance road is on the right. 9. CALL FOR PAPERS
Invited: Papers and posters on any aspect of lexicography or terminology.
Special sessions may be proposed.
All submissions will be adjudicated.
The conference language is English.
Prospective presenters are to submit abstracts to reach AFRILEX before 30 April 2016. Abstracts must be between 600 and 800 words long for adjudicators to make informed judgements on the central argument of the paper or poster, especially given that conference proceedings are not published. Abstracts should contain the following elements: a central argument, how the study was conducted and some (preliminary) conclusions. Papers that do not comply with these requirements will unfortunately be rejected.

Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged and feedback will be given to authors as soon as it is received back from the adjudicators. Abstracts of accepted papers will be distributed during the conference. MS Powerpoint Presentation facilities will be available. As a backup, presenters are invited to e-mail their presentation to the organiser ahead of the conference.
