You are cordially invited to read a paper on any aspect of lexicography.

It has been suggested by the delegates who attended SALEX '97 in Grahamstown that papers on problematic aspects of lemmatisation in African languages, on spelling variation, on electronic corpora, on technical terms, etc. should figure prominently at the Conference as a forerunner to the follow-up course, AFRILEX-SALEX'98.

All papers will be adjudicated.

Presenters are to submit 500-800 word abstracts to reach us before 31 March 1998. Abstracts can be sent by e-mail, fax or ordinary mail to:
